The Betteshanger Sustainable Education and Business Incubation Centre will provide 2,000 square metres of internal space to offer a total incubation service for fledgling businesses, linked to high quality education and R & D facilities including professional mentoring with eventual extension of this service to include funding support for ventures.

The educational offer at Betteshanger will be delivered on both parts of the site.  Higher education will be within the Business Park and further education within the Country Park.  The sustainable education element of the incubation centre will offer the opportunity to learn in a bespoke environment; linking sustainable green business with an Environment Energy Centre.

The international nature of the centre will focus on the development of applied education and research into food security; using the Betteshanger environment to create research partnering with international organisations.  It will offer a route for high calibre students into sustainable business.

The education provision will be delivered by Hadlow College, the leading rural institution for delivery of outstanding quality of further and higher education.

It was Graded Outstanding by OFSTED in 2010 & in 2012 and awarded Beacon Status in 2011 as a leading provider of education in England. Hadlow College pioneered a unique sustainable fiscal model by expanding its commercial portfolio to reduce dependency upon public funds. The College has completed its £6,000,000 Equestrian Olympic Legacy in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and has just opened Hadlow Rural Community School, the first Rural Free School, in England. The Betteshanger project combines all of these attributes of Hadlow College to create a new example of environmental energy and sustainable land management at Betteshanger Sustainable Parks that will provide a new future for East Kent.
